Post-Superlink 2e Branding
Posted: Wed May 26, 2010 5:33 pmAs I've mentioned elsewhere, Misfit Studios is going to try supporting both 2e and 3e once the Superlink license goes by the wayside to make room for the new license. Because such post-Superlink 2e products will no longer be able to use the Superlink logo or sport the MnM comparability statement, some new branding to make these products stand out as Superlink-compatible is required. As such, I plan on making a 2e logo available to all publishers who likewise want to continuing their 2e lines.
Here is the logo I've designed and I'm putting it up here for opinions. I've kept it fairly simple so it will mesh with most any cover design someone may choose to implement. The final logo will be made freely available as a 300 dpi tif from Misfit Studios' web site, as well as some of the storefronts we sell at in the latter's publisher resources section. The only stipulation of the logo's use is including a copyright statement along the lines of "OGL Superhero 2e Logo (C) Misfit Studios, 2010 used with permission. All Rights Reserved." in your credits.
