Even to your untrained eyes, you all notice the tunnels are a mix of unearthed stone work, as if of buried walls or the like, and tunnels torn out of the ground. Some of the tunnelling amongst the stonework seems recent, based on the fresh marks on the stone, while others seem to be older, possibly from previous excavations. YOu notice the recent work ends up causing more damage to the stonework than that of the previous digs.
