"How can we be sure we are still on Earth? I mean, aren't there supposed to be other worlds or planes or whatever? Who knows, we might be in a parallel Earth for all we know? If this is the case, our only way out would be back through the portal", Sergio offers. Maybe I read too many comic books, but...

"Anyway, before leaving, I think we should try to locate the command center. The data on this op will surely be there and we might make some sense of what's going on. We should that as quietly as possible. A 'distraction' would eliminate the element of surprise. We'd end up with a lot of pissed off churchies and whatever other nasties they have here breathing down our necks", the sniper adds.

Croner chimes in: "Okay, considering the sky I'm willing to bet we're still on Earth. As for plans, I'm leaning towards a distraction and stealth out of here approach, as it would appear we're in the middle of an enemy camp of unknown disposition and size, and the terrain is equally unknown. Suggestions on how to proceed or anyone have anything in their bag of tricks that can get us some more intel?"

Chandra looks around turns to Croner and says. "So we'll be sending out two teams then? We have two scouts, lucky us! One scout per team." He looks at the scouts. "Lucky you! Team Alpha will be tasked with uncovering what's going on here and getting transport away from here. I'll lead team Alpha as I don't recommend that the Captain and myself be in the same team. Team Bravo then will have the tack of setting up the distraction and will be led by Captain Croner and will contain Sergio, our demolitions expert [OOC: I believe] one of the scouts plus one other. There is to be radio silence throughout, though I recommend two radio signals. One for all set and one for emergencies. The scouts are to do well their job really, point out likely targets for the rest of us and to keep us out of trouble with the locals. Now personally I'd like the padre on my team, no real reason but it couldn't hurt to have a higher power on your side - even if he does worship the wrong one." Chandra smiles and winks at the padre clearly not serious about that last comment. "Now can any of you others do anything useful? Like I don't know divine the location of what we need, turn us invisible, anything like that?" He looks pointedly at the 'specials' then turns to Croner. "Am I forgetting anything?"

Croner turns to Chandra. "It sounds good, but we'll need to get a look around the place first before we move out. We need to determine and set a good rally point if everything goes FUBAR, and this isn't a good location. I'm not too keen on getting trapped underground with a bunch of Churchies up top."

Sergio is not the demolitions expert, he's the sniper/2nd scout. And he didn't set off the portal, I think it was Sparks, the scout.
