"I can sneak in, no trouble. But what is the fall back plan, in case the sentries scored low in the 'Patrolling in Antarctica bores the hell out of me' test?" Sergio asks, unsheathing his knife.

"Fallback plan is simple. I like simple." He looks at Sergio then at the captain. "We hit them with everything we've got. But before you go off hunting moose and squirrel there are some things that need to be worked out." He marks off the points on his fingers. "Like which guard wins the 'I get to be killed first' lottery. Which building or buildings are the most heavily trafficked and therefore win the 'I get to be hit first' lottery. Are there any vehicles that need to be taken out or watched, in case we wish to use it later." He ticks off the fourth item. "Anything else that I've forgotten."

The scouts did not notice any vehicles, but they've only seen the site from one vantage point. They can't account for what's behind the buildings and large snow drifts. Circumventing and scouting the site from all angles will take a few more hours.

"As loathe as I am to have people standing around in this cold doing nothing for the next several hours, I also don't like the fact that we can't see any vehicles. Unless what they're here for is well here then they have to travel about somehow. Plus they had to get here somehow. So I'd say there is atleast one vehicle, but we can't be sure. I don't like these sort of variables." He looks at the captain. "What is your opinion sir?"

Jack waits patiently in the cold for the military-types to decide upon the tactical course of action.

[Chris just informed me he'll be gone for a while. Normally I'd NPC him but because he's the CO I'd rather not take over the person who is responsible for your group's decisions. Anyone want to double up for a while?]

"Well, if Sparks and I split up, we can cover each side of the base, circling it to get a 90-degree view. That should give us the full intel on guards and vehicles. But will take a few hours," Sergio says, ready to take off, though he would rather kill the fricking churchies right now.

I'm not comfortable doubling up. I've barely found my character, I'm not sure I can take control of another that I don't really know that well.

[Sorry I read but I can't see where I could help in this situation]

Looking to his fellows, O'Rourk said in a worried voice :

"I hope this beasts are'nt connected by some unholy mean to their dark masters..."

He look the white area, take some snow and followes :

"I dont know zoology very well, but this kind of wolves don't live here and aren't attuned to deep cold. They must belong to our next objectif I thought".

I could do it if people don't mind me being the CO and the 2IC! I'm also a GM I'm used to playing the characters from absentee players.

Chandra looks at the priest. "Great, just great! As if I don't have enough to worry about.!" Then he smiles. "Guess we'll find out soon, though."

"I dont know zoologie very well, but this kind of wolves don't live here and aren't attuned to deep cold. They must belong to our next objectif I thought".

Chandra nods. "The thought did occur to me too. Perhaps they weren't wolves but Alaskan marmalutes. I'm givien to understand they are almost wolves or something? Maybe they sledded in and those are their dogs?"

Chandra looks at the Captain and shrugs. "I'd rather be cold and sure than unsure and dead. Unless the CO objects I say do it. I'm sure I can come up with something to keep the guys occupied while you do it. Oh and if you get into trouble don't be afraid to scream like a little girl!" He looks at the others. "You guys ever played a game called charades?!" But then he grins widely and is clearly suppressing a chuckle. He then holds up his right hand showing his thumb and forefinger extended but almost touching. "Missed it by that much!" He stops smiling and looks serious. "But seriously who has binoculars?"

The SEAL gives you a nod and says "okay do it. Plant yourself a thousand yards or so out. We'll come in head on in, belly crawling through the snow the last thousand yards. When I give you the signal take out the guards furthest from us at the time and we'll get the nearest. If you see anyone about to rain on our parade as we're sneaking in, use your judgment as to whether to take them out if you think we've been burned, otherwise let 'em pass until we're in position."

Chandra nods. "Very good, sir. Which of the buildings should we hit first? Or should be break into fire teams and try to hit multiple buildings at once? Do we move to rig the generator to blow and have somebody cover him while he works?""

O' Rourk nod to the last sentence :

"As far my opinion is liked I hope that cutting off the power is a good plan"

He look to the distants buildings.

"I just hope that they are not all nyctalopian or with night googles..."

The lieutenant replies "let's not be hasty in cutting off what may be the only possible source of heat for a thousand miles until we know what's going on. We can't even see how many buildings there are from here, as we don't know if the snow's blocking any from view. We'll take out the guards and then reassess."

"Sorry for the confusion sir! My plan is to rig it to blow in case we need to make a hasty retreat, or something, at least they won't have heat and power for the rest of their hopefully short lives. Not to blow it up right now. Think of it as a deadman switch if you will - it means we can still take them with us."

Chandra adds. "I was assuming that you planned to take out the guards with gunfire, which would spoil our surprise and then we'd have to storm the place while they were still getting their act together. If that's wrong then I'm going to need to have the plan explained to me again."

Croner looks at Chandra, "surely you didn't forget to pack your silencer, LT? And having Specialist Studder rig the generator with a claymore is a good fall back, but let's remember not to be hasty in pulling the switch. We don't want to find ourselves short of a ride down here with nothing to keep us warm if everything goes south in the worse possible way."

Chandra looks concerned. "Silencer? Hmm, silencer? I know I remember putting it on my bed when I packed my stuff, hmmm." Then he grins wickedly. "It's within easy reach, sir!" Then he adds. "Hasty is MY middle name not Studders. I'm sure he knows to follow the chain of command on that issue! Right specialist?" He glances briefly at Studder. "There settled then." He grins again. "And sir, I don't think it CAN go south from here!"

"Except for you, ofcourse." Then he looks back at Jack and points at his weapon. "You did learn which end of that to point at the enemy right?"

Croner turns on his radio so that you can all hear.

"Okay, Sparks and Keane, swing right. Keane, I want you taking out the first guards and covering us as we come in. Sparks, you cover him with your silenced B4 but your primary goal is to spot targets for him in a way that takes them down without the others knowing, and to keep an eye out for us as we come in. Give us the "danger close" if someone's about to pop out on top of us. Get going."

The SEAL doesn't wait for his first orders to be carried out before continuing.

"The rest of us are going to belly up slowly on the left, giving us a good vantage to catch any surprises between us and the recon unit. Grey, you and Specialist Studder are taking up the rear slack. If things go wrong and loud, I want you two breaking cover and suppressing the enemy until the rest of us get behind something more bulletproof than a snowbank. Fletcher, if you can manage anything to make us look less conspicuous, I'd appreciate it, so you take up the middle behind the rest of. Everyone else up front with me. Fan out from my position and on your bellies with at least five meters between us. I don't want a single grenade taking us all out at once. When we get there, those of us at the front will move through cover and see what we can do to quietly take out anyone the scouts can't scoop up."

Chandra listens for anybody to report anything whilst he prepares his gun. When he's done he looks at everybody to make sure they are going where they are supposed to. Once everything is right he jogs out to the far side from the captain and assumes his position then says. "Ready sir." He begins to move when the others do.

Alexander kneels in the snow for and closes his eyes for a few seconds. When he opens them, he takes a moment to stare into the blowing snow around the buildings.

Trancing to whip up a 3-essence Essence Shield, so I can channel without turning into a beacon.
