If selection has officially begun, I would like to call dibs on the Black Shield Techmarine.

I don't think the selection begins until the 27th at 8pm EST, that was in the email sent out.

Well I haven't gotten any followup emails regarding the selection process so I guess it's a good thing I stopped by the thread.

I don't know whether this preemptive selection is going to land us in hot water with Steve or if it can be forgiven as Christmastime enthusiasm. Since we all of us seem to be jumping the gun a bit I guess I'll follow suit and say that an Ultramarines Devastator is exactly the Chapter/Role combination I've been interested in trying out and since it doesn't look like anyone else is interested in him so far I'll tentatively note my preference here.

Only posts after 8pm on the 27th will count. However, you guys can feel free to talk amongst yourselves beforehand if you think you can sort out who should get what before selection begins.

If we could get everyone to post, I think we should be able to get to an agreement that pleases everyone.

I'd enjoy any role and Chapter with the exception of the apothecary, simply as I often struggle with the rules for healing. I'm also quite partial to tactical and tech marines.

Welp, by my clock it's 8:02 P.M. EST which according to Retias is the starting point for character selection. So assuming this is still a thing, I'm calling dibs on the Ultramarines Devastator.

According to my time, you are correct. I shall therefore repeat my preference for the Black Shield Techmarine.

Looking at it, I think I'd stil like to grab the Librarian.

To help everyone out, I'd suggest everyone dropping an avatar of your Chapter's symbol in as your avatar or in your sig. It will be great for eyeballing who is who quickly. You can grab the Chapter images from the W40k wiki or the like.

So, the final character is assigned by default.

I'll be emailing your characters soon (I have to finish some of their write-ups), at which point I'll start posting to the in-game forum. Feel free to send any "under the table" comments or questions to me via PM.

Characters are being sent out. Remember, some of you will have obvious reasons not to share things with the others but, in general, Space Marines are not incredibly open around other Chapters, so most of you should play things close to the vest (to start, at least).
