Marked with gullies, pitiful creeks, and the ruins and statues of dead civilizations, the Roaming Plains are dangerous even to well-armed caravans and military units. Orcs and kav fill the land and strike out with annoying regularity against the duchies. It is suspected (but not proven) that Monvas has been supplying the rebels with firearms.
