As part of my hopes of the New Year, I want to get more gaming in even if a lack of players in my neighorhood leaves play-by-post as my best means of doing so. As a long-time fan of the Warhammer 40k setting, I’ve decided I’m going to run a PbP Deathwatch game starting in January.
My upcoming Deathwatch pbp game is currently open to players (I’m hoping for 4 to 6) and will use pre-gen characters drawing on source material up to and including what is found in First Founding. I’m opting for pre-gen characters because I want to be able to work in some side stories for each of the characters, which means I need to exert some control over who they are and why they are in the Deathwatch. I can promise there will be surprises enough for everyone.
So, if you are interested in playing, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’m hoping for people with knowledge of the setting even if they are new to the rules so that the experience will be more immersive for everyone. It will be my first stab at using the Fantasy Flight Games W40k roleplaying game rules, though, so you’ll have to forgive any mistakes regarding the rules I may make along the way (and be sure to point them out if you catch them!)
Once all the players are selected and on board, we’ll jump over to the Misfit Studios messageboard, where the game will take place, and characters will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis.
So come sign up for the game–you can’t serve the Emperor if you don’t play.
