Still being written. It's been delayed by the need to first expand our catalogue in order to achieve a level of income that can support WNK's initial release and further development. It is by far our biggest (and thus, most expensive) project so it requires the most $$ which, for a small press publisher like Misfit Studios, means a solid foundation of other products to work on. I could have put it out earlier but it would have suffered for the lack of proper funding, so I keep putting it off until I can afford to do it right. Once I get M&M 2e in my hands, I'm going to begin looking at where to fit it into next year's production schedule.

Still on hold until some other responsibilities get dealt with. I chip away at it here and there, but still haven't been able to commit full time to it. I'm hoping to do so soon if I can wrap up the other things popping up.

Alrighty, I have a couple questions at this point.

1) Do you still intend to use the SAS version of Tri-stat in the WNK?

2) What's the status of the book?

No, Tri-Stat was out the window once Mark @ GoO screwed myself and the other publishers.

And it's still in limbo. I need the other projects to build up enough capital to fund the book; thanks to Mark "World Not Known" isn't starting at a zero-point, budget-wise. It's starting in the whole because he took the licensing money and ran, and the art I'd paid for already was done on a for-print scale (which is about 3x as much per art piece as it would be for PDF.) It's still something I want to get back to, but I have to make sure the $$ is there for it.

I have to admit, I don't quite understand this. You paid for a Tri-stat license; doesn't he have to honor that? Or do you mean that as an OOP game, an SAS license is worthless?

Mark liquidated GoO's properties when it went under, including Tri-Stat, which Mongoose picked up. Because the deal was with GoO, Mongoose isn't required to honor that agreement. So, basically Mark took the money for the license, told myself and other publishers that everything was okay while he was scrambling to cover up his problems, and when GoO went under he took the money from myself and others with him. Because he was incorporated, he was largely protected from lawsuits upon declaring bankruptcy (especially from a company as small as Misfit Studios.)

How can we help get the book published?

The only thing standing in the way remains the funding. The rest of the Misfit Superlink products are doing well, though, with some of the newer lines showing lots of promise for expansion, so I hope that will give me the budget I need to get this done.
