Christina Stiles will be attending GenCon 2012 as an Industry Insider Guest of Honor. This will be her first GenCon ever, and she will be representing the women of game design! Come out and meet her, and ask her about the upcoming release of the Rogue Mage RPG Player’s Handbook available in pdf from Misfit Studios on August 24th. The pdf is currently in the hands of those who backed the initial Kickstarter, and books are being printed and offered for sale through BellaRosa Books in early September. Copies are expected to be for sale at Faith Hunter’s booth at Dragon*Con, as well. Here’s Christina’s GenCon schedule. Christina is back from Mysticon 2012! The Rogue Mage game “Supply Dump” went over very well. Misfit fan Robert Ward said of the game: “So I went to Mysticon in Roanoke this weekend and had a lot of fun, especially since most of my Saturday gaming group was there. The best game we played by far was Rogue Mage with Christina Stiles. It was pretty fast moving especially for an adventure billed as a simple delivery, and we did a lot of things she didn’t expect (like run away from fights with the big bad evil things). Plus, Christina said our names are going to be in the book as playtesters! Very happy with that!” Glad you enjoyed the game, Robert! The Rogue Mage kickstarter is ending in just 7 days! There’s still time to force Faith Hunter into writing more Rogue Mage fiction to add in with the pledge …

Christina will be at Mysticon in Roanoake, VA, this weekend as a gaming guest, and she’ll be running Rogue Mage, which is currently on kickstarter . Game co-author and NYT bestselling author Faith Hunter will be there, as well, as will Christina’s friends Marcia Colette and Kalayna Price. Come out to see the gang and play Rogue Mage! Here’s Christina’s schedule: Friday 4-5 PM – Panel – Building Strange New Worlds – Dogwood 1 Friday 5-9 PM – RPG – Rogue Mage – Gaming Annex Saturday 3-4 PM – Panel – Designing Games – Dogwood 2 Saturday 4-8 PM – RPG – Rogue Mage – Gamming Annex Sunday 12-1 PM – Panel – Gaming and Fiction Crossovers – Dogwood 1 Christina will have Castles & Crusades pre-gens available to run a pickup game set in Open Design’s Zobeck, too. Much of this network started in 2000, with a little open writing call for freelancers for that new-fangled edition of D&D that had everyone excited at the time.
