First Misfit Studios’ Darwin’s World Release is “In the Can”
The Darwin’s World JumpStart for the Savage Worlds Roleplaying Game is finished, been approved by RPGObjects, and sent to PEG to be released in the next batch to be released to the SWADE Kickstart backers. When that happens, it will be made available by us, too. It will be available as a PDF and in print via our Lulu print on demand storefront.
It’s a conversion of the Feeding Grounds adventure (previously only available in d20), and serves as the perfect intro to the setting. Players take on the role of soldiers frozen during America’s last war, charged with awakening and reclaiming the nation. What they find is a world they no longer recognize, overrun by flesh-eating mutants. The adventure is entirely self-contained and includes all the material you need to jump right into Darwin’s World with only this release and the SWADE core rules.
What’s Next for Misfit Studios and Darwin’s World
With this JumpStart to wet your appetite, you’ll still need to wait a bit for the core Darwin’s World Nuclear Edition book to be released. We’re working hard on getting this done, but are also putting some new content in so it’s not merely an update to the latest rules (SWADE), but also has some entirely new value within. We’re working on it just about every day, and the material is starting to get pushed out for playtest.
In the meanwhile, we’re contemplating some additional small PDF releases to give everyone an idea of what’s to come before the core book’s released. So, you may see something like a Darwin’s World archetype or two between now and the core book.
