It’s been a while since Misfit Studios has posted any updates or news, so I thought I’d drop everyone a line and let them know what is going on.
Relief for New Zealand Earthquake Victims
As you have no doubt heard, New Zealand was recently hit by a devastating earthquake. To help out, OneBookShelf has created a charity relief for New Zealand earthquake victims product that provides over $300 of PDF gaming products for just $20. You can purchase this PDF bundle here. Misfit Studios has contributed to this charity bundle by offering up Better Mousetrap, our popular M&M Superlink rules supplement (a $15 value.) It’s for a good cause and you’ll get lots of value for your $20, so it’s worth checking out!
DC Adventures: Heroes & Villains, Volume 1 is coming … and Misfit Studios (or Steven, at least) was There!
As some of you Misfit Studios fans may or may not know, last year I was amongst those M&M Superlink 2e writers that were tapped by Green Ronin to help write some character stats and bios for their (then) upcoming DC Adventures role-playing game. Not only was it an honor to be asked to work on a project involving DC intellectual properties, but it was fun working directly with Green Ronin again … and let’s not forget that meant I was able to poke and prod and write with the 3rd edition of the Mutants and Masterminds rules long before the game hit the shelves. As part of the process, we were asked to do some designer journals regarding the experience and it looks like mine has finally popped up. Check it out here as I talk about what went into writing Deadman!
Product Printing Updates
Today started on a high note. I mentioned a while back that I had been talking with another publisher about getting Misfit Studios products into print and onto a FLGS’ shelves near you. Well, after some initial emails I’ve been throwing “hello, anyone home? Are we still talking about this?” emails out there into the vacuum of the Interwebs without a single reply back. My understanding is other people have been similar difficulties since the year flipped, so I haven’t given up hope entirely but I’m also looking elsewhere.
